Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Group Leader who’s ready to guide a skilled team, develop talent, and champion a culture of integrity, initiative, and excellence. In this role, you won’t just maintain equipment—you’ll empower people, improve processes, and help drive a high-performance operation.
Responsibilities
Diagnosing and solving complex equipment issues, collaborating with external engineers or integrators as needed.
Communicating daily with shift supervisors to align on challenges from previous shifts.
Leading pass-down meetings to ensure technicians are informed and prepared.
Participating in production meetings when needed to discuss quality, downtime, and operational priorities.
Managing and prioritizing work orders through CMMS, scheduling downtime with supervisors, and assigning tasks according to technician skill sets.
Ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of all maintenance work.
Building and optimizing the Preventative Maintenance program to reduce unplanned downtime.
Reviewing predictive maintenance reports (vibration analysis, thermographic readings) and scheduling follow-up actions.
Supporting parts management, including vendor communication, cost review, requisitions, and inventory readiness.
Developing a progressive training plan for all technicians—both internal and external.
Actively collaborating in downtime meetings to solve recurring issues and propose innovative solutions.
Participating in cost-savings initiatives and presenting downtime progress in monthly management reviews.
Conducting performance evaluations and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Overseeing shop operations, including welding, machining, tool security, and emergency repair actions.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
At least 3 years of leadership experience
Minimum 1 year of experience at this facility
