Overview
The Sales Operations Specialist provides day-to-day operational support to the Sales organization, with a primary focus on pricing support and general sales enablement. This role partners closely with Sales leadership, Finance, and Product teams to ensure pricing accuracy, deal support, data integrity, and smooth execution of sales processes.
This position plays a critical role in enabling sales effectiveness by supporting frontline sales teams with pricing administration, reporting, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Support
Support the administration and maintenance of price lists, discount structures, and customer-specific pricing in accordance with approved policies.
Assist sales teams with deal pricing requests, including margin checks, discount validation, and approval coordination.
Partner with Finance and Sales leadership to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with pricing governance.
Perform basic pricing and margin analysis to support sales decisions and identify trends or issues.
Ensure pricing data is accurate and consistent across CRM, ERP, and related commercial systems.
Sales Operations & Support
Provide operational support to Sales leadership and field teams, including quote support, data validation, and reporting.
Support CRM data quality, including opportunity, pipeline, and forecast accuracy.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc sales reports, dashboards, and analyses for the VP of Sales and sales leaders.
Assist with sales meetings, QBRs, and commercial reviews through data preparation and presentation support.
Process & Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with Sales, Finance, and Product teams to support sales processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Help document and maintain sales and pricing policies, procedures, and reference materials.
Support sales onboarding and role changes through system access updates and data maintenance.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability within sales operations workflows.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
0–3 years of experience in sales support, sales operations, pricing support, finance, or a related business role (internships or co‑op experience acceptable).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with data, numbers, and documents.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Willingness and ability to learn CRM systems and sales processes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
Preferred
Experience supporting a B2B sales organization.
Exposure to pricing governance, discount approval workflows, or deal support activities.
Familiarity with reporting or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
